= OpenPAM = OpenPAM is an open source PAM library that focuses on simplicity, correctness, and cleanliness. Its aim is to gather the best features of Solaris PAM, [https://www2.opengroup.org/ogsys/jsp/publications/PublicationDetails.jsp?catalogno=p702 XSSO] and Linux-PAM, plus some innovations of its own. In areas where these implementations disagree, OpenPAM tries to remain compatible with Solaris, at the expense of XSSO conformance and Linux-PAM compatibility. OpenPAM is available under the [http://opensource.org/licenses/BSD-3-Clause 3-clause BSD license]. See the [http://svn.des.no/svn/openpam/trunk/LICENSE full license and copyright statement] for details. OpenPAM is currently used by [http://www.freebsd.org FreeBSD], [http://www.pcbsd.org/ PC-BSD], [http://www.dragonflybsd.org/ Dragonfly BSD], [http://www.netbsd.org NetBSD], [http://www.apple.com/macosx/ Mac OS X] and a few Linux distributions.
